The Ruston Farmers Market is bringing back the Park Haus Peach Cookery Contest this year! We have EXPANDED to make the event even better! Introducing a new category: Jams, Jellies, and Preserves. Don't worry, you can still enter Cobblers and Pies!

Here’s how it works (contest rules):

• The contest will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, June 3 and 4, at the Ruston Farmers Market, 220 E Mississippi Ave.

• Entries must be dropped off between 5:00 PM and 5:45 PM

• Judging begins at 6:00 PM

• Winners announced at noon during our June 6 market.

• Dishes and containers must be picked up by 8:15 PM on the day of judging or they will be discarded.

Registration

• Entry fee is $10 per dish

• All entry fees are nonrefundable

• Select your entry type (Adult/Youth, Jams, Jellies, Preserves/Pies and Cobblers)

• Type the name of the person entering

Recipe Requirements

• Submit two copies of your recipe on 4x6 cards (typed or neatly written)

• Include your name, address, and phone number on the back of one recipe card

  • TO MAINTAIN ANONYMITY, the personal info must be written on the back of the card​

• If known, please list the type of peaches used

Dish Drop-Off

• All entries must be dropped off between 5:00–5:45 PM on the day of the specific contest

• No entries accepted after 5:45 PM

• No refrigeration provided

• Each dish should include approximately four servings

Additional Info

• You may enter as many dishes as you like, but each one must be made by the person entering it

• Any variety of peaches may be used

• Photos from the contest may be used on social media and for promotional purposes

The contest is open to two age groups:
• Youth (17 & under)
• Adult (18+)

Park Haus is generously donating a grand prize for the winner in each age group and category!
