The Drew Jones Teaching Kitchen, named in honor of the late Drew Jones, is a vibrant addition to the Ruston Farmers Market, made possible by a generous grant from the Ruston Lincoln Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB).
Opened on May 28th, 2024, this kitchen embodies Drew’s legacy of dedication to our community. It serves as a hub for culinary education, offering a range of classes from hands-on cooking workshops to free educational sessions.

Summer Scoop: Classic Chicken Salad
Join me for a relaxed, hands-on cooking class focused on making two different mayo-based chicken salads—perfect for warm weather meals, picnics, or easy lunches. This class features local chef, Amanda Finley, and produce from your very own Ruston Farmers Market.
Each student will learn how to make both a traditional and a dupe of a Trader Joe's chicken salad, so come and learn how to make a chicken-salad sandwich, enjoy a sandwich, and leave with a sandwich!

Join us Thursday, July 31st 6-8pm in the Drew Jones Teaching Kitchen for a hands-on culinary experience where flour meets flavor and herbs meet heat. In this immersive workshop, you'll learn to bake golden, pillowy focaccia from scratch and craft your own infused olive oils using herbs and spices.
